Management of SAMLEE EMERALD ACADEMY recommends that children are enrolled at an early age, at least 2 years to start nursery school and progress through Kindergarten, Primary and Junior High School before they sit for the BECE exam.
The classrooms for the pre-school are well ventilated, with a teacher and two assistants in attendance. The school has a conducive environment which helps to enhance teaching and learning.
The primary section has no more than 20 learners in a class, taught by qualified professional teachers. The Ghana Education Service syllabus is blended with the Montessori syllabus in teaching and learning. All leaners are expected to take the10 taught subjects including English, Maths, Science. SAMLEE also offer extra curricular activities such as Music, Playing of Keyboard, trumpets, Kete dance and Band etc.

SAMLEE EMERALD ACADEMY follows an equal admission opportunity policy, which paves way for learners of all religious, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds to enrol at the school. We admit children from 4 months old. Learners of any age transferring from other school with proven academic credentials including terminal reports, transfer certificate, letters and a good testimonial are admitted after passing the entrance examination including Mathematics, Science and English Language. Parents/Guardians wishing to enrol their children are entreated to complete an application form after their wards have passed the admission entrance examination.
Fee Policies
SAMLEE EMERALD ACADEMY offers great value for money in education. Our school fees are very moderate. A special discount is given to parents with three or more children in the school. Parents may be advised or asked to withdraw their wards if fees are not paid in full within the stipulated period.
Admission fees must be paid before the newly admitted student can start school.
MODE OF SCHOOL FEES PAYMENT
The school runs a termly payment system for school fees. The school fees should be paid either through:
• The school bank account – All bank transfer charges must be paid by the parents.
• The school Mobile Money (MOMO) account with your wards name as reference.
• Cash payment to the School Director
NOTE: All fees must be paid in full. Please note that at least 70% of the termly fees must be paid not later than two weeks after school reopens with the remaining (30%) balance settled latest by middle of the term. Please note that monies paid to the school are not refundable.
☆ A full term’s fees must be paid irrespective of the actual date of admission, re-entry or withdrawal.
☆ Parents who seek to pay fees by instalment must apply to the Director ahead of time and obtain a written agreement on the terms of payment. This is subject to approval by the school management.
☆ If for any reason, a learner is absent for a full term/academic year and parents wish to keep his/her place, fees must be paid in full for the period of return, otherwise the learner would be considered as a new entrant and will only be admitted when there is vacancy.
☆ Learners who fail to report to school after the first week of re-opening without a prior request in writing forfeit their place.

REPORTING AND CLOSING TIME
The reporting time of pupils to school is latest by 7:30am. The closing time is 3pm.
SCHOOL PRODUCTS I.E. UNIFORMS, BOOKS ETC
The school provides customised uniforms, books and other products to the learners at a fee. The school management will not hesitate to take legal action against any individual/s who attempts to reproduce/reprint any of the school’s products i.e. uniforms, books etc.
HEALTH SCREENING
SAMLEE organizes periodic health screening for all learners in the school in the areas of Dental, ENT, Eye and the general well being of the pupils.
EDUCATIONAL VISITS
Students of SAMLEE embark on an educational trip every other year as part of our academics.
TRANSPORTATION
The school do not provide transportation in conveying pupils to school currently.
SECURITY AND SAFETY
With the installation of CCTV in both the classrooms and the school compound, provision and inspection of pick-up cards, log-out book etc, the safety of your ward is guaranteed.
CANTEEN SERVICES
The school has qualified caterers who prepare meals in a hygienic environment and serve healthy and hot meals for both breakfast and lunch. The school canteen service is compulsory for all learners
MEET THE TEACHER INFO SESSION/PARENT-TEACHER INTERVIEW
It is an occasion where parents/guardians come to the school and interact with teachers to know the general performance or progress of their wards. This includes academics and moral. Parents /guardians are expected to attend this session with their wards. It is compulsory for all parents /guardians to attend. It is held once every term.
Standard Behaviours
STANDARD ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR OF LEARNERS
The school holds on its values (God fearing, discipline, hard work and integrity) and will ensure they are inculcated in our pupils. The school ensures an effective learning in a serene and enabling environment and a good upbringing strategy to enhance the potentials of our products. The school will do its best in ensuring child safety.
SAMLEE has very high expectations for excellent behavior of our pupils in order to create and preserve a focused learning environment for a brighter future. This, the school will achieve in conjunction with parents/guardians.
In ensuring good behavioral atmosphere, the school expect pupils to adhere to the school policies and that management will not hesitate to sanction any behavior and infractions deemed inappropriate of a pupil on school premises/environment.
Parents/Guardians are entreated to assist the school management to ensure that their children adhere to the following guidelines in respect of learners’ behaviour:
1. Regular and prompt attendance to school ensures an excellent academic and behavioral pattern of pupils. In view of this, parents are expected to ensure regular and prompt attendance of their wards, all things been equal.
2. Lessons begin at exactly 8am and parents are to ensure that their wards report to school by 7.30am with all their learning materials (books, pens, pencils, eraser etc) in their bags. Failure to come to school with the necessary learning materials would not be taken lightly.
3. Pupils should under no circumstance bully, threaten or harass each other in any form. Any pupil that does any of these would be summon before the disciplinary committee and necessary action taken against him/her.
4. Stealing of items, speaking of filthy language, attending school with unwanted materials such as pornographic books and materials, guns etc will attract suspension of the pupil. Likewise, any immoral behaviour of a pupil will attract suspension.
5. No pupil should engage in physical or verbal fights.
6. No pupil should come to school with a chewing gum.
7. No pupil should wear “crazy jeans” to school.
8. The plaited hair style to school is the “pony style” with only one ribbon and no beads.
9. The school canteen is compulsory for all learners except on medical grounds which should have a supporting document as a proof.
10. All school activities/programs are compulsory for all learners. Learners are to go by the exact instructions given by the school concerning any school activity/program.

Information for Guardians
The following are some of the responsibilities that cherished parents of SAMLEE shall have towards their wards and the school.
1. Ensure your ward is regular and punctual at school.
2. Ensure your ward complies to all school rules and regulations and partake in all school activities and programmes.
3. Encourage and assist your ward in studying and attending to his/her homework and or project work.
4. Seriously, discuss examination results and assignments with your ward.
5. Ensure your ward dresses appropriately to the school and also attend school with the required learning materials
6. Create a conducive atmosphere/environment at home for your ward to study.
7. Help maintain school discipline.
